Kaushik will manage L&T Innovation Fund's existing startup portfolio and look for further collaboration and investment opportunities.
Sushma Kaushik has joined Indian multinational Larsen and Toubro as head of its corporate VC arm, L&T Innovation Fund.
Larsen and Toubro operates within the technology, engineering, manufacturing and financial services segments globally. Its CVC arm backs startups from the early stages of seed and incubation through to series A funding rounds, investing across deep tech, climate tech, industry 4.0 and digital infrastructure.
Kaushik will manage the unit’s existing startup portfolio and work with the broader startup ecosystem to identify opportunities for collaboration and strategic investments.
Kaushik is an experienced early-stage investment professional, having led multiple investments and exits in her earlier roles. Prior to joining L&T Innovation Fund, she was a partner at growth-stage focused VC firm 108 Capital having previously spent 13 years at Aavishkaar Capital, a venture fund promoting development in rural and semi-urban India.
